This heightened security will remain in place for all five days of the Test match.”

In addition to security measures, the police have issued a detailed traffic advisory to manage movement around the Maidan and Eden Gardens between November 14 and 18. On match days, the movement of all goods vehicles will be restricted between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. within the stadium zone, ensuring minimal congestion and safer access for fans.

Public transport routes have been temporarily modified to facilitate smooth traffic flow. Police officials also emphasized that security and traffic guidelines could be updated in real time based on crowd movement and on-ground conditions during the match.

As cricket fever grips the city, authorities urge fans to plan their travel accordingly, follow all guidelines, and enjoy the thrilling encounter safely.
