September 25, Srinagar: A delegation of 20 diplomats from 16 countries, including the US, European Union, Russia, and Australia, visited polling stations in Budgam and Ompora to monitor the electoral process currently underway in Jammu and Kashmir.
The international presence highlights the global community’s vested interest in ensuring a free, fair, and transparent election, emphasizing the significance of international oversight in local democratic practices.
Today marks the second phase of the Assembly elections in the region, with polling stations active in Srinagar, Ganderbal, and Budgam districts. A comprehensive security setup has been deployed, ensuring a safe environment for citizens as they cast their votes.
