Alibaba has introduced its most advanced artificial intelligence model so far, Qwen3.8-Max, marking another major step in the rapidly evolving global AI race. Although it still trails some of the latest models from US-based companies such as OpenAI and Anthropic in overall rankings, Alibaba says the model demonstrates particularly impressive capabilities in image analysis and multimodal understanding. The company has already made the model available for developers and businesses to use.
