As international tensions continue to rise, a coalition of 22 countries has issued a strong and unified warning to Iran, accusing the country of orchestrating attacks and intimidation campaigns beyond its borders through criminal networks and proxy groups.

The joint statement, released by nations including the United States, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and numerous European countries, condemned what they described as Iran’s growing involvement in activities that threaten individuals and communities across Europe, North America, and Australia.

According to the statement, Iran’s security and intelligence apparatus, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its elite Quds Force, have allegedly been involved in plots targeting Iranian dissidents, journalists, and Jewish and Israeli communities abroad.

The participating nations expressed serious concern over reported attempts to kill, kidnap, harass, intimidate, and attack individuals living within their borders. Leaders emphasized that such actions violate national sovereignty and undermine international norms that govern peaceful relations between nations.

The coalition stated that they remain committed to protecting their citizens and ensuring that foreign actors do not interfere with domestic security. They urged Iran to immediately cease all activities linked to threats, violence, and intimidation abroad.

Authorities also pointed to a series of incidents across Europe that have reportedly been linked to an Iran-associated group known as Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya (HAYI). The group has claimed responsibility for attacks directed at Jewish communities in several countries, including the United Kingdom, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

Among the incidents reportedly connected to the group are assaults on individuals and acts of vandalism and arson targeting synagogues and community centers. These events have heightened security concerns among governments and community leaders alike.

Australia has also taken significant diplomatic action in response to what it describes as Iranian-linked activities. Last year, Australian authorities expelled Iran’s ambassador following allegations that Tehran was connected to antisemitic attacks, including a synagogue fire in Melbourne and an attack on a kosher café in Sydney.

Canberra further escalated its response by withdrawing its ambassador from Tehran and suspending embassy operations. In a subsequent move, Australia designated the Revolutionary Guards as a state sponsor of terrorism, citing what officials called unprecedented foreign-directed aggression on Australian soil.

Iran has strongly rejected these allegations. The country’s Foreign Ministry previously criticized Australia’s actions, describing them as unjustified and contrary to international diplomatic standards.

The statement was jointly issued by Albania, Australia, Belgium, Britain, Bulgaria, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, and the United States.

The coordinated response from such a broad coalition reflects growing international concern over alleged cross-border security threats and signals increasing pressure on Iran from Western allies seeking greater accountability and stability in global affairs.
