In a powerful yet measured response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 innocent lives—including 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen—India has launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, striking deep into the heart of terror infrastructure across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK).
Grief still hangs heavy over the nation, especially in the homes of those who lost their loved ones in the barbaric assault in Pahalgam. But alongside sorrow, a sense of justice is beginning to stir. Early Wednesday, the Indian Armed Forces carried out a series of precision air strikes targeting nine terrorist camps—sending a clear message that such acts of violence will not go unanswered.
“These strikes are not acts of vengeance, but acts of justice,” said a statement from the Ministry of Defence. “Our actions were deliberate and restrained. No Pakistani military installations were targeted. We focused solely on the sources of terror planning and execution.”
The Ministry emphasized that the strikes were designed to be non-escalatory—aimed only at eliminating the root causes of the terror that continues to threaten the peace and safety of Indian citizens.
This operation marks a solemn commitment from India: those responsible for terror against its people will be held accountable. No longer will words alone suffice—there will be consequences for actions that spill the blood of innocents.
“Justice is served. Jai Hind!” the Indian Army wrote in a poignant post on X (formerly Twitter), echoing the feelings of a nation that refuses to be broken.
In a previous post, the Army had said: “प्रहाराय सन्निहिताः, जयाय प्रशिक्षिताः” — “Ready to strike, trained to win.”
Later today, the Ministry of Defence is expected to share more details about Operation Sindoor. But for now, across the nation, there is a quiet understanding: justice may not erase the pain, but it honors the fallen. And it reminds those who seek to do harm—India will never stay silent.
