In a powerful yet measured response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 innocent lives—including 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen—India has launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, striking deep into the heart of terror infrastructure across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK).
Grief still hangs heavy over the nation, especially in the homes of those who lost their loved ones in the barbaric assault in Pahalgam. But alongside sorrow, a sense of justice is beginning to stir. Early Wednesday, the Indian Armed Forces carried out a series of precision air strikes targeting nine terrorist camps—sending a clear message that such acts of violence will not go unanswered.
“These strikes are not acts of vengeance, but acts of justice,” said a statement from the Ministry of Defence. “Our actions were deliberate and restrained. No Pakistani military installations were targeted. We focused solely on the sources of terror planning and execution.”
The Ministry emphasized that the strikes were designed to be non-escalatory—aimed only at eliminating the root causes of the terror that continues to threaten the peace and safety of Indian citizens.
